Gerolimenas is probably situated in the position of ancient Ippolas, and it abstains 96 kilometres from the city of Sparta. It owes its name, to the fact that in ancient times it was considered a “Holy Port”. The natural gulf leads to the cape Cavo Grosso and provides a breathtaking view to the vastness of southern sea that unfold beyond cape Tenaro.
